Carmelo Nvono-Ncá Día de la Independencia de Guinea Ecuatorial

The Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, wanted to dedicate a few warm words to the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, on the occasion of the anniversary of Equatorial Guinea’s Independence Day, on October 12.

Happy Equatorial Guinea’s Independence Day

H. E. Mr. President,

On the occasion of the celebration of the Equatorial Guinea’s Independence Day, I would like to send you on behalf of the entire Equatorial Guinean colony residing in the Kingdoms of Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, as well as on behalf of all the personnel involved in this Diplomatic Mission and on my own, all the joy of celebrating another October 12 full of pride for being part of our great nation: the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

It is 52 years since that October 12, 1968, in which Equatorial Guinea began a historical process towards its total sovereignty and independence. An independence in which we have known true progress and authentic evolution from the hand of His Excellency.

Even in this very complicated year 2020, with the entire planet hit by a global pandemic, our country has developed milestones as relevant as being a world benchmark for South-South and Triangular Cooperation, becoming members of the Ibero-American Association of Jurists or facing large projects for the remodeling and operation of all our ports. Initiatives led by Your Excellency and whose sole objective is to strengthen the image, credibility and trust of our country in order to attract the investment necessary to reactivate the economic development of our great Nation.

It is for this reason that I would like to take this opportunity to recognize in a particular way His Excellency the effort and incessant work that he develops day after day and that allows us to find ourselves today in a privileged setting. Our country is currently adopting an outstanding position on the international scene, raising the recognition and visibility of Equatorial Guinea. Thanks to the guidelines well marked day after day by Your Excellency, our country is making great strides in its process of consolidating strong ties with the rest of the world, demonstrating legitimacy, security and trust, as well as positioning our Nation as a clear benchmark , both regionally in Africa and internationally.

For all these reasons, we renew once again our irrevocable commitment to continue collaborating in all the work that H.E. entrust us, because we know that it always was, is and will be “FOR A BETTER GUINEA”.

Highest Consideration.
