As we have been reporting for months, Equatorial Guinea is the great favorite to become the headquarters of the South-South and Triangular Cooperation of the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Group (ACP).
Our Minister of Fisheries and Water Resources, Mr. Estanislao Don Malavo is currently visiting Brussels and has not missed the opportunity to visit the Secretary General of the ACP, Mr. Patrick I. Gomes, with the aim of reinforcing the candidacy of our country to host this important headquarters, which will be the nerve center for information on all South-South and Triangular Cooperation matters of the 79 countries that make up the ACP.
The Minister did not forget to give importance to the efforts made by our country, since he would be willing to donate the building that will be the headquarters, as well as all the equipment for the future offices.
A next meeting will take place before the celebration of the ACP Council of Ministers next May, in which it is expected that the organization will make the final decision on the candidacy of Equatorial Guinea.
Embassy temporarily closed for repair work.
