As we have been reporting on this website since the beginning of 2019, several pan-African civil society organizations throughout Europe are willing to reward a new international prize acknowledging the hard-work of a Head of State and decorate him as the best President in the world.
Several African presidents are candidates and the Ambassador in Brussels, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, is developing an intense campaign throughout Europe so that this award, which will be awarded in 2020, will be granted to the President of Equatorial Guinea, S.E. Teodoro Obiang. On the occasion of a visit to the Italian capital, Nvono-Ncá took the opportunity to meet with a renowned pan-Africanist organization based in Italy, specifically the DAICS -Diaspora Africana in Central and South Italy- association.
Throughout the meeting, which has been held with the president of the agency, Ibrahim Cameras, the Ambassador has explained in depth the merits that justify that, in what will be the first edition of the award, the award will be granted to President Obiang. Cameras, on the other hand, has assured on behalf of the African diaspora in Italy that both the work of Obiang and that of Macky Sall, president of Senegal, are well recognized.
Embassy temporarily closed for repair work.
