The Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Netherlands, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, headed an important meeting with the international lawyers team which has been defending his country for more than two years against France before the International Court of Justice (CIJ). Although the Court pronounced itself last year in favor of Equatorial Guinea regarding the “preliminary exceptions”, the case is not yet achieved since some sessions are still ahead.
For this reason, the Ambassador, who is also the agent of the case before the ICJ, has gathered the entire legal team in the Brussels with the objective of seeking new strategies for the next stage foreseen before the Court of The Hague, which should take place late in 2019 or early in 2020.
