The Permanent Representative of Equatorial Guinea to the European Union and the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OEACP), Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, wanted to pay tribute to the career of Gerardus Gielen, until now Director General of Africa for the European External Action Service (EEAS) of the European Commission, which has just finished its mandate.
The fantastic relationship between Nvono-Ncá and the senior position of the European Commission has favored in recent years that the relations between Equatorial Guinea and the communicative Executive have been increasingly close, becoming Equatorial Guinea a key actor in the face of problems of insecurity, piracy and illegal trafficking that occur in the Gulf of Guinea.
As a sign of his respect and recognition, the Ambassador organized a lunch at the official residence, which was also attended by the Head of the EEAS for Congo and Equatorial Guinea, Sergio Marinelli.
