How does the procedure take place

Visas

  1. Check if you meet the conditions.
  2. Download and complete the visa application document.
  3. Send your FULL file to the Embassy’s email  guineaecuatorial.brux@skynet.be
  4. The consular service will contact the applicant to notify him of the resolution of his file.
  5. If your file has been accepted, an appointment will be given to you with instructions to complete the process.
  6. Non-resident citizens of Belgium can apply through a travel agency.

Terms

  • The Embassy of Equatorial Guinea to the Kingdom of Belgium grants the following types of visas: business, tourism, family visit, transit and religious.
  • Applications must be sent on Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and visa pick-up will be done on Tuesday and Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
  • The passport presented must be valid for at least 6 months, from the date of completion of the trip.
  • Your file must include:
    1. Two copies of the visa application document, duly completed and signed by the applicant. An unsigned and / or incomplete form will be rejected.
    2. Two recent passport-size photographs of the applicant in color.
    3. Certificate of good life and good morals sent by the police or the municipality (in English, French or Spanish), valid for 3 months after the date of issue.
    4. Return plane ticket.
    5. Vaccination file containing the vaccine against yellow fever.
    6. Letter of invitation legalized by the authorities of the emigration service of Equatorial Guinea. This letter must contain the applicant’s name and passport number and be valid for 3 months from the date of shipment.
  • The processing of visa applications generally takes two days. Applicants are responsible for depositing and collecting their passports at the Embassy.
  • Visa applications will be approved in strict compliance with the required conditions.
  • Incomplete applications will be categorically rejected.
  • In case of refusal of your visa application, the file will remain at the embassy. Only the passport will be withdrawn.
  • The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents from candidates (if necessary), as well as personal interviews.
  • Citizens residing in the following countries can obtain their visa from the Embassy in Belgium: Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
  • The Embassy declines all responsibility in the event of possible loss of the passport.

  • Once the above documents have been compiled, applicants should submit the following additional documents, depending on the visa type: submit the following visa application:
    1. Business
      • Invitation from the company receiving you in Equatorial Guinea, with a detailed explanation of the reasons for your trip.
    2. Tourism
      • Letter from your bank confirming that you have a minimum of 2,000 euros in your account.
      • Hotel reservation.
    3. Family visit
      • Invitation of your family to Equatorial Guinea
    4. Religious
      • Invitation of your contact in Equatorial Guinea.
      • Authorization from the Ministry of Justice, Worship and Penitentiary Establishments (in Malabo or Bata).
