The Permanent Representative of Equatorial Guinea to the International Maritime Organization IMO, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, has met with the Permanent Representative of France to the maritime body, Geneviève Jean-Van Rossum, as part of the European information campaign that is being carried out to inform on the upcoming elections in Equatorial Guinea and present the presidential candidates.
Elections that will take place next Sunday, November 20, and before which the current President Obiang, and candidate of the PDGE, aims to be the favorite in the latest polls, among the rest of the presidential candidates. According to Nvono-Ncá, the good results of his economic and social policies are the reason for these good results in the polls. But, above all, the Ambassador stated throughout the meeting that what he hopes is that “the new Equatorial Guinean government continues to improve its policies, among which foreign policy should stand out”.
“We want to strengthen our bonds of friendship and give preference to friendly countries that correspond to us in the same way. I am convinced of our friendship with France and that is why we have to treat the Gallic country as it deserves. I personally feel a special sympathy and admiration for everything that France represents beyond its leadership within the EU”, Nvono-Ncá pointed out.
