Although we are in the middle of August, the Diplomatic Mission of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels is working to finalize all the details of the important OACPS Secretary General’s mission to our country.

Specifically, the Secretary General of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti, will travel to Malabo on August 31 to visit the South-South and Triangular Cooperation Office, which is located in our country. This is the only headquarters in the world focused to this type of cooperation, which fosters technical cooperation between the countries of the South and with the countries of the North in a circular and not exclusively unidirectional sense.

The OACPS Secretary General’s mission would be carried out within the framework of the work to relaunch cooperation among the member countries of the OACPS. This organization is the one that groups the most countries after the United Nations and favors relations between three of the regions of the planet with the most growth prospects: Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.

The Embassy in Brussels, and specifically the Head of Mission, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, is finalizing the preparations for this important OACPS Secretary General’s mission, as the representative of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels, where the General Secretariat is also located. of the organism. But also as the maximum promoter of the initiative to create the Malabo South-South and Triangular Cooperation Office.
