The Brussels-based Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, also mandated to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, has traveled to the Dutch city of The Hague, to meet with the new clerk of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Philippe Gautier.
During the meeting, the Ambassador seized the opportunity to recall the trust and faith that the Equatorial Guinean State has placed on this important international justice institution. Likewise, Nvono-Ncá reiterated that the willingness of Equatorial Guinea is to anticipate and build agreements with friendly countries, although he said “the role played by the International Court of Justice is especially appreciated when foreign interests do not fully coincide with the will of States.”
