The Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to the Netherlands, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, has met with the Damen company, the Dutch defense, shipbuilding and engineering conglomerate that is currently positioned as a world reference.
Specifically, the Ambassador met with Peter Post, Director of the company for Equatorial Guinea, with whom he discussed an interesting diversification project in our country. With maritime potential like Equatorial Guinea’s, strengthening the national naval sector can be a great long-term strategy.
Likewise, Ambassador Nvono-Ncá has been officially invited by Damen to visit their shipyards in the Netherlands and see first-hand their technological potential. Damen Shipyards Group is a company that operates globally with more than 50 shipyards and other related activities. Since 1969 it has designed and built more than 5000 vessels and annually delivers up to 150 large vessels, positioning itself as a world reference in the shipbuilding sector, as well as in maintenance and repair activities.
70% of the earth is made up of water. Oceans, seas, lakes and rivers offer enormous possibilities to a country like Equatorial Guinea, whose access to the sea is one of its great riches. A company like Damen can offer us unprecedented solutions to use and take full advantage of these possibilities.
