The new permanent representative of Equatorial Guinea to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in London, Carmelo Nvono Ncá, was invited a few days ago to an important event organized at the Embassy of the United States in the British capital.

The event was attended by senior US military officials, such as Admiral Karl L. Schultz, to whom Nvono-Ncá personally expressed Equatorial Guinea’s interest in counting on the cooperation and support of all the friendly countries of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, who have great experience in maritime safety, as is the case with the United States.

Likewise, Nvono-Ncá reiterated to Admiral Schultz that “Equatorial Guinea greatly appreciates the cooperation and collaboration it has with the American government since 1979”. Finally, the new Permanent Representative of our country to the IMO expressed his concerns about the great insecurity in the Gulf of Guinea.
