S. E. Mr. President,

On the occasion of this memorable date, I would like to send you from the Diplomatic Mission of Brussels our most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the commemoration of the Thirty-Eighth Anniversary of the Freedom Coup or also known as the Day of the National Armed Forces of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. .

On behalf of the Equatorial Guinean Colony residing in the Kingdom of Belgium, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Kingdom of Denmark and the Republic of Turkey, we wish to wish you, your distinguished family and all the people of Equatorial Guinea on a happy August 3 of this year 2017, in which we celebrate the date on which Equatorial Guinea freed itself from the domination of the First Republic and began to glimpse a whole trajectory of transcendental and positive changes for our Beloved Homeland.

Thirty-eight years ago began the long-awaited construction of the current democratic State of Law and welfare in Equatorial Guinea, a Sovereign Nation with a climate of bliss that H.E. and all its collaborators have known how to implement it for all those born in Equatorial Guinea, as well as all those who come to our Beloved Homeland following our example of good coexistence.

Equatorial Guinea is today a nation of international reference and this thanks to the excellent leadership work that H.E. President Obiang exercises in the international political context, demonstrated, for example, with the recent election of our country as a member of the United Nations Security Council in New York.

We address these words to H.E. to thank you for the framework of loyalty and security of our country, made possible thanks to the permanent commitment of our Armed Forces, to which it is necessary to recognize their effort and incessant work to achieve a glorious future full of hope.

May the Will of H.E., together with the blessing of God, continue to lead us to the well-being of you and your entire family, as well as the entire People of Equatorial Guinea.

Highest Consideration,

Carmelo NVONO NCÁ

EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPONENTIARY AMBASSADOR OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA TO THE KINGDOM OF BELGIUM, THE KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS, THE KINGDOM OF DENMARK, THE GRAND DUCHY OF LUXEMBOURG, THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY, THE EUROPEAN UNION AND THE ORGANISATION FOR THE PROHIBITION OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS.
