Despedida Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores

On February 20, the team from the Embassy in Brussels bid farewell to the ministerial delegation that attended the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union-European Union. The delegation was headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simeón Oyono Esono Angüe.

All the staff of the diplomatic mission, headed by the Ambassador in the Belgian capital, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, accompanied the ministerial delegation to the airport, where they were able to bid them farewell with all the satisfaction of a job well done.

The two days of intense work at the Summit in which this delegation has participated have resulted in a final declaration, by which the African Union and the European Union undertake to adopt a common vision with the aim of consolidating a renewed association to solidarity, security, peace, sustainable economic development and prosperity for the citizens of both blocs of countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Equatorial Guinea, Simeón Oyono Esono Angüe, has defined this participation in the Summit with the European Union, a “vital partner for Africa”, as “very successful”.
