On the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day, the Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, met with the employees of the Diplomatic Mission of the Belgian capital to personally congratulate them on such an important and special day.

Specifically, he met with Beatriz Obama, Second Secretary of the Embassy, ​​and Emilia Ndoho, Assistant to the Ambassador, with whom he was able to share his feelings about the 8M event. Likewise, the Nvono-Ncá was interested in the problems and challenges that these workers of the Diplomatic Mission may encounter in their day-to-day in the execution of their professional tasks, in order to try to eliminate any possible obstacle that hinders, although only be minimal, his impeccable work.

International Women’s Day commemorates every March 8 the struggle of women for their participation in society and their full development as a person, on an equal footing with men. It is a day in which special visibility is given to gender inequality and the fight for effective equal rights for women in various fields is claimed.
