The Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, has been requested to participate in an important training on International Cooperation in the EU, offered by the youth association Equipo Europa in collaboration with the Representation of the European Commission in Spain.
The objective of the course has been to introduce the basic concepts of international cooperation for development, its origin and current situation, as well as to present a general vision of the work of the EU in this matter. Thanks to the forged experience of Ambassador Nvono-Ncá, with more than ten years as a diplomat in the Belgian capital and currently as a professor of International Relations at the Universidad Panamericana, International Cooperation in the EU is undoubtedly one of the fields that knows The perfection.
It is for this reason that Nvono-Ncá was in charge of presiding over the opening session of the training, as well as the introductory seminar. Throughout his presentation, Ambassador Nvono-Ncá focused on explaining the challenges of International Cooperation in the EU, as well as the notions of the term cooperation, its origin and its evolution, the main actors, the difference between cooperation, development cooperation and humanitarian aid/action and the new cooperation models (South-South cooperation, triangular cooperation, decentralized cooperation, multilateral cooperation and unofficial cooperation). The sessions were followed online by more than 200 young people.
