For the first time in history, a Portuguese media conducted an interview with the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang. As indicated on this site, the interview was conducted throughout the press trip organized last March, during which Spanish media and Portuguese media interviewed the Head of State of Equatorial Guinea. .

The result was this in-depth interview at the Africa Monitor Center, which has great influence in all the countries of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), such as Portugal, Mozambique, Angola and Cape Verde. :

As stated above, the interview focused on economic and investment reforms and in which President Obiang explained the state of the hydrocarbon sector in Equatorial Guinea and the progress of investments in Guinea Equatorial in Portugal. Other political issues such as the possible abolition of the death penalty in Equatorial Guinea and the results of the last national dialogue tables were raised.
