The Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels, Don Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, was invited on May 12, 13 and 14 to the 46th International Ascent to Fito, a mountain rally that takes place in the towns of Parres and Arriondas, in Asturias (Spain).

This fantastic event, which has been held since 1970, enjoys international recognition and is maintained year after year in the calendar of the International Automobile Federation as scoring for the World, European and Asturias Mountain Championships and in it great pilots of international recognition participated. This event offers the thousands of fans it has, a show of a great sporting level.

Ambassador Nvono-Ncá took the opportunity to make visible the progress of our country, as well as the concerns about this type of large-scale events.

The final winner of the race was Italian Christian Merli and his compatriot Simone Faggioli took second place.
