Equatorial Guinea has always been clear about the importance of the strong bond of union that it maintains with Ibero-American countries, fostered by all having Spanish as their official language. Aware of this, the Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, has met again with the Association of Jurists of Ibero-America, specifically with its Director, Andrés Guerrero, with whom he had first contact in early July in the organism’s headquarters, in Madrid.

As a member of the Hispanic community and also of the Portuguese-speaking community, Equatorial Guinea has shown, in recent years, a great interest in international cooperation in general and South-South cooperation in particular. Likewise, aware of the crucial role that international justice plays in respecting national sovereignty, as well as increasing equality between countries, Equatorial Guinea has as one of its main objectives to become a member of the Association of Jurists of Ibero-America, which advocates to ensure respect for the sovereignty of all countries, as well as to guarantee justice in both public and private law, especially in the business and commercial framework.
