A delegation from the Ministry of Aviation of Equatorial Guinea, led by the Minister, Mr. Fausto Abeso Fuma, has visited the European capital to hold important meetings with the European institutions. The objective of this mission has been none other than to show the European Commission the progress made by our country in the field of aviation and airlines, to show that Equatorial Guinea no longer has a gap in the Black List on airlines that the Community Executive draws up.

Throughout the day on June 6, the delegation held a relevant technical meeting with the Aviation team of the Directorate General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission. At this meeting, in which the Minister and the Ambassador in Brussels, Don Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, were also present, the experts of the European Union (EU) concluded that the Equatorial Guinean Ministry of Aviation has made considerable progress, which they hope will be able to contrast in the field on a trip to our country, which will be prepared in the months that follow, after having analyzed all the documentation provided to the meeting.

After having obtained the certificate from the International Civil Organization (ICAO) that allows Equatoguinean companies to fly in international airspaces, now is the time for the EU to give its go-ahead so that they can transit European skies. This is the great objective that Minister Abeso is pursuing at the moment.
