The 106 th ACP group’s ( African Caribbean Pacific) Council of Ministers meeting was held the last 5th and 6 th in December, one of the most important decision making group’s body.
Guinea equatorial was represented during this strategic meeting by the Ambassador H.E. Carmelo Nvono-Ncá himself accompanied by the Embassy’s Second Secretary, Mr Sylvestre Oyono. According to the points raised during the meeting, the ACP’s South South and Triangular Cooperation office will likely be based in Guinea Equatorial, which means the first ACP representation in a non European country.
While the decision is still to be ratified during the next Council of Ministers, the body confirmed that next step will consist in sending through diplomatic channel an official commitment of our country with regards the significant opening of this so important seat expected to become a center of exchange, ressources, technology and knowledge for the 79 countries composing the ACP group.
