The Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels held on October 20 an emotional reception to honor the 50th anniversary of the Independence of Equatorial Guinea, which met on October 12. The celebration was organized in the residence of the Ambassador, Carmelo Nvono Ncá, and was attended by the entire Equatorial Guinean colony in Belgium, the Diplomatic Corps of the European capital, numerous businessmen, representatives of NGOs, and a large etcetera of relevant personalities.

Nvono-Ncá, despite being the legitimate representative in Belgium of our Head of State, President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, wanted on such a special day to give the floor to the Second Secretary of the Embassy, ​​Silvestre Oyono Bibang Nzang, who spoke on behalf of of the staff, as well as the representative of the Equatorial Guinean colony in the Kingdom of Belgium, who also delivered a speech. The Ambassador wanted with this gesture to give relevance to the feeling of national pride of this party, without granting any kind of political tinge.

After the speeches, the more than 80 guests were able to enjoy a delicious dinner and a fun evening of music in the nightclub of the Ambassador’s residence.
