On May 7, the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels organized an emotional mass in honor of the victims of the explosions in the Bata accident on March 7, which caused hundreds of deaths and injuries.
The mass took place at the headquarters of the Equatorial Guinea Diplomatic Mission in the Belgian capital and was led by a parish priest from the city. Due to the restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, only a small part of the Equatorial Guinean colony present in the Belgian country was able to attend the emotional event, as was the case with the official delegate of the colony, María Dolores Enzema.
So that everyone can participate in the tribute to the victims of the Bata accident, the First Secretary of the Embassy, Silvestre Oyono, reported throughout the act that the altar installed in the Embassy will remain open for those who did not possible to attend mass, they can pass to lay flowers and candles in honor of the 7M victims.
The finishing touch of the ceremony was the musical performance of the Equatorial Guinean citizen Monica Salvador Alum, who sang an emotional ecclesiastical song.
