The Permanent Representative of Equatorial Guinea to the European Union, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, has met with the Aviation division of the European international organization to advance this dossier.
Specifically, the Ambassador met with Clarisa Barbero, Aeronautical Policy Officer at the EU’s General Directorate for Mobility and Transport, with whom he discussed, for almost an hour, the situation of the Guinean airlines file Equatorial. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has delayed the work and hindered all kinds of progress in this dossier.
During the meeting, which took place via videoconference due to health restrictions, both discussed highly important issues on the relationship between the European regulatory institution and our country on civil aviation issues. Nvono-Ncá expressed his firm interest in the EU resuming work with the Ministry of Aviation of Equatorial Guinea, thus hoping that throughout 2022 the services offered by these airlines can be evaluated once again.
Likewise, Clarisa Barbero expressed interest in responding positively to all the interests and concerns expressed by the Ambassador and reported on the recommendations that Equatorial Guinea should put into practice for this dossier to be successfully completed.
