The glorious Freedom Coup of 1979 marked a before and after in the history of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, freeing itself from the domination of the First Republic and beginning to envision a whole trajectory of transcendental and positive changes for our Beloved Homeland. Changes that today position Equatorial Guinea in the context of the best developed countries on the African continent.
I want to congratulate with special attention on this Armed Forces Day the Meritorious National Forces of State Security, who with their heroic intervention that August 3, 1979 knew how to prioritize the interests of our Nation and the honor of the People. We must not forget his continuous work since that moment, managing to maintain and guarantee the order, security and peace that Equatorial Guinea enjoys and that many countries yearn for.
May the Will of H.E., together with the blessing of God, continue to lead us to the well-being of you and your entire family, as well as the entire People of Equatorial Guinea.
