Yesterday, we informed you that an important mission of the PDGE, headed by the Secretary General, Jerónimo Osa Osa Ecoro, had landed in Ankara to hold high ranked meetings with the leaders of the party of the Turkish government, the AK Party. The overall objective of this mission was to concretize concrete initiatives in the mutual interest of the parties.
Today the Equatorial Guinean delegation concreted its ambition by signing a memorandum of understanding with his Turkish counterpart. Both parties will initiate a collaboration to strengthen their ties of mutual friendship and enhance their cooperation by capitalizing on the best practices and exchange of experience. From the creation of study groups to research on specific topics, through exchanges between civil society organizations from both countries and the organization of joint seminars on topics of common interest, this collaboration promises to be extremely interesting. No doubt that the PDGE will benefit from the long and sound experience of the AK Party in Turkey.
The Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea in Brussels, Carmelo Nvono-Ncá, seized this opportunity to congratulate the Secretary General of the PDGE, “for his professionalism and for having managed to conclude a fruitful agreement whose preparation was initiated during the important visit of the PDGE to Brussels last October”.
